It advocated a new system free of the dominance of monopolies in production and distribution. Its optimism and vision is still worth a look in the modern era of corporate control of our purchasing habits and diet.

This beautifully written pamphlet written in 1943, with WW2 raging in Europe and unity needed, “The Farmers’ Way Forward” was written for both the urban workers and farmers of Australia, to better understand each others specific conditions and be able to recognise their common interests.
